“My name is Emily Sempell. I am a Program Director here at New Challenges. My background is Assisted Living Specifically Memory Care. I started out about six years ago as a Caregiver which later lead to me to working as a Resident Care Coordinator at a memory care facility in Washington state where I wore many hats as a supervisor, patient advocate and health care facilitator.
My passion has always been people and helping people to live their lives to their fullest potential.
I have been married to my amazing husband for 10 years this July. We have two children ages 8 and 1.5. We moved to Minnesota from Washington state about a year and a half ago.
In my spare time I enjoy doing DIY home renovations, gardening, photography and spending time with my family and our Toy Poodle mix, Kiwi.
Previous to working at New Challenges I was working as a Recruiter for a health care company hiring nurses, caregivers and various office staff for long term care communities in Minnesota.
I have been working at New Challenges for about two months and I really enjoy working with the individuals served and the amazing staff members who share the same compassion and drive as I do. I am looking forward to the future with a great company such as New Challenges.”
