COMMUNITY RESIDENTIAL SETTINGS (CRS)/ ADULT FOSTER CARE (AFC):
New Challenges, Inc. has 40 Supervised Living homes and apartments for adults with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities throughout the Twins Cities Metro area. Our trained staff provide high quality, individualized care on a 24-hour basis. The focus of these services is to enhance independence and quality of life based on individual strengths, preferences and desires.

INDIVIDUALIZED HOME SUPPORTS (IHS) with training:
IHS offers person-centered services to adults living or interested in living in their own apartment. New Challenges, Inc. currently offers this service in apartment locations in Dakota and Washington County. Services are based on the unique strengths and needs of each person to help them live as independently as possible. May include: IN-HOME SERVICES: In-Home services are developed to provide supports to adults living with his or her family or community home. We serve individuals with a broad range of abilities and needs and our in-home services. The person and the family design the level of support and service that is needed. Locations may vary.

24 HOUR EMERGENCY
On-call counseling and problem solving and/or immediate response for assistance at a person’s home due to a health or personal emergency. Locations may vary.

An individualized package of regularly scheduled, health-related and supportive services provided to a person age 55 plus. Locations in Afton and Rosemount

Our Positive Support Analyst will provide strategies used to increase quality of life and decrease challenging behavior. These strategies teach new skills and change a person’s environment. Locations may vary.
